Your chance to meet the DJ and the 'roadie' behind Big Mix Mobile Disco - well at least get to know a little about us.

Firstly, may I say a huge WELCOME to YOU! Thank you for visiting Big Mix Mobile Disco.

My name's Darren Jeffs, the owner and DJ of Big Mix Mobile Disco, and I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for visiting my 'Meet the DJ' page.

So, a little about me then: let's see where do I begin? Well, I'm 29 years old and when I'm not on the decks I'm working as an ICT technician for a senior school. I have a very good sense of humour and I enjoy meeting new people whilst travelling around DJing - and believe me I get to meet all kinds of people including David Coulthard (the Scottish Formula One racing driver).

I've been a DJ now for almost 12 years and yes, I do still really enjoy doing it. Some of you may already know me from working as a DJ for Big Mix Entertainment, which I did for almost 5 years, or as the resident DJ at the square nightclub in Daventry.

I have lost count of how many weddings, birthdays, corporate events, Christmas and New Year's Eve parties I have performed at over the years, but it's well into the hundreds.

As for music tastes, you'll find me listening to everything from the 60s right up to the present day, whether it's pop, rock, dance, rock 'n' roll, reggae and so on ... but if I had to choose a favourite era it would most definitely be the 80s. I'm also quite keen on dance music. But rest assured, I play a wide variety of music when I'm out performing.

Humerous, approachable, professional and reliable are my main traits in running my mobile disco company, and depending on the audience I do enter into slight "banter" over the microphone - which I feel adds to the party atmosphere.

Meet the Big Mix 'roadie' ...

Firstly, I would like to say thank you for visiting Big Mix Mobile Disco.

My name is Tom and I’m 20 years young, I am often approached and being told I look like Justin Bieber, however I do not see this myself. When I’m not out working as a roadie for Big Mix Mobile Disco, you will find me working as a bar assistant at a local nightclub in Daventry. I like to have a good laugh and yet be professional with all the people I come to meet.

I began working for Big Mix in April 2011 – my role as a roadie all started when Darren became a resident DJ at the square nightclub. I was given what was to me, a huge opportunity to join Big Mix Mobile Disco as a roadie, which has given me an insight into his talent as DJ and also to learn how a professional disco company is run.

I would like to thank you one more time for taking the time to get to know a little about me, and I look forward to meeting you at your next party!
