The charity disco has already taken place - it was a great success.
Bring your friends and family and dance the night away to the very best music from the 60s to the present day. Children are welcome! We promise you plenty of fun ... and of course the DJing will be impeccable!
The event itself will be a Glow Disco Party, with glow sticks on sale on the eve of the event and some funky UV paint for the kids and the grown-ups!
There will be a face-painter for the children, a family entertainer, a raffle, games and of course, lots of music! With plenty of prizes to be won.
What's the charity?
The Big Mix charity disco donates all contributions to Dreamflight, a children's charity that changes young lives by taking seriously ill and disabled children on the holiday of a lifetime to Orlando, Florida.
Dreamflight has operated every year since 1987. They believe that fun and joy are just as important to children as medical equipment and research - especially children who maybe can't wait long enough for the breakthrough they need, or whose treatments and illnesses have brought disrupting pain and distress to their lives.
In 2008, eight of the returning Paralympians from Beijing, many of them medal-winning, had been Dreamflight children citing the trip as a turning point for them.
Dreamflight does something that medicine can't!
Through the Big Mix Mobile Charity Disco 2010, we hope you will join us in supporting this outstanding charity and its work to bring more fun, joy and independence into children's lives.
Don't forget - saturday 20th November 2010 at the Daventry Leisure Centre. See you there!
